INSCX Market Model<\/strong><\/h2>\n

INSCX is Self- Regulating Organisation (SRO) specific to physical trade and not a business-to-business (B2B) mechanism. The system employed by the Exchange operates a specialist merchant model of trade, similar in many respects to the market-maker\/specialist function used by the majority of commodity exchange systems. Trading on INSCX is conducted via it’s Specialist Merchant desk specific to physical delivery trade in polymers, base oils and other commodities. In regard to engineered nanomaterials, similar to other materials listed for trade, the specialist acts to accept bids \/ offers onto the live trade platform as instructed from registered members and operates a voice-supported sales\/trading role on an agency basis on behalf of members wishing to instruct trade. The Specialist in summary therefore, completes the following roles:<\/em><\/p>\n

(i) Update the Live Trade Platform: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Enter indicative and firm prices in respect of listed materials continuously during the daily trading session where there is no active live order buy\/sell placed by a member of the Exchange.<\/p>\n

(ii) Act as Counterparty:<\/strong><\/p>\n

All trade is conducted through the Specialist Merchant desk which can, where necessary act as a counterparty match buying\/selling between two instructing members, unless where trade is agreed on a bilateral basis direct between the buyer and seller. In the case of a bilateral trades, the Specialist acts to conduct the auction process on instruction and report any sale agreed for anonymous broadcast on the live trading platform.<\/p>\n

(iii) Statistics:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Compile and circulate Exchange statistic reports such as Open interest reports, market news and trade fixes.<\/p>\n

(iv) Manage Orders:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Approve and accept orders from other merchant members acting for commercial users of the Exchange.<\/p>\n

(v) Provide Liquidity \/ Digital Clearing:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another role for the specialist Q3 2026 onwards will be to provide liquidity to enable spot \/ forward trade and clear same using our Instant Gross Settlement digital clearing system.<\/p>\n
